- Marriage certificate (translated and certified)

Common Mistakes UK Citizens Make
- Assuming the 30-day exemption can be extended indefinitely - it cannot. Repeated border runs are now monitored by Thai immigration.
- Not having sufficient funds evidence. Immigration can ask to see 20,000 THB (approximately GBP 450) per person.
- Applying for the wrong visa type. A retirement visa applied abroad (Non-OA) requires health insurance; the Non-O does not.
- Missing the 90-day report deadline for long-stay visa holders. Failure results in a 2,000 THB fine.
